Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for the more ordinary and basic care of patients. CNAs most often work in nursing homes. Because of the nature of their work, they often work overtime, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. The outlook for this job is quite good, especially as the baby boom generation advances into old age and increases the demand for those skilled in such care.
To become a CNA, there is specific CNA training program for that. This program consists 100 hours of clinical practice and 50 hours of classroom instruction. CNA courses and training can be taken in several CNA schools through out US.
