Sonography technician uses special equipment to direct sound waves into areas of a patient’s body. He/she properly operates the ultrasound equipment, which forms an image that may be videotaped, transmitted, or photographed for diagnosis and/or interpretation by a physician. The most common use is gynecologic Sonography for examining pregnancy.
This career pays a good median income. To begin a medical career as Sonography tech, there are some formal training of two year program and two year program that need to be taken. These trainings are available in some Sonography schools in several cities through out US.
