Get Prepared for Tennis




tennis_3.jpgTennis is a very healthy exercise with so much benefits.  It is a tough sport that needs as well builds power, strength, fitness, and agility.  Tennis also provides great benefits for mental and emotional growth as well.  In addition, tennis combines the fat burning benefits of aerobic exercise with the health and strength building benefits of interval exercise.   

However, you need to be prepared before doing tennis.  Otherwise you won’t be able to perform well, or even you can get injured.  Here are some tips that we gather from several reliable resources.

  1. Do dynamic warm-up, that typically involves performing exercises like arm swings, lunges, and trunk twists.  Those exercises warm the body up and get the muscles working.
  2. When playing tennis in the sun, it is important to wear light (weight and color), loose fitting clothing so that sweat can be properly evaporated and your body can cool itself.    Light colored clothing will reflect the sun rather than absorb it like dark colored clothing.  In addition, sweat soaked clothes do not allow for evaporation to take place so change to dry clothing whenever possible.  Now there are stores that specify in tennis apparel.
  3. Every sport has different moves, specification, or even fields.  So, like any other exercise like aerobic, jogging, soccer, and so on, use special women’s or men’s tennis shoes.  If you feel comfortable, then you can perform much better.
  4. This is very important; Keep yourself hydrated.  You need to drink a lot of water during play and most tend to avoid severe problems such as cramping or having to retire due to overheating.
  5. Every player has different game style.  The best thing is to have tennis rackets that suit your style.  You can ask your trainer about this and ask what’s the best type of rackets for you.  You can match your requirement with these collection of babolat rackets to choose from.
