Do you know why you’re told to take a deep breath when you feel like being angry?
In the meeting of the American Psychosomatics Society, it was said that a deep breath can balance the neural system. So, it can help reducing the stress.
Besides, the deep breath as practiced in Yoga is scientifically proven to help you:
- Cure Insomnia - take a deep breath before sleeping to get a better night sleep.
- Reduce panic attack - a deep breath can help your brain get relaxed.
- Avoid asthma attack - a deep breath can make the carbondioxide exchange with oxygen in your lungs become more efficient. That way, you can get more oxygen.
- Stabilize your blood pressure - the muscles around your blood vessels will get more oxygen. That way, they get more relaxed. So, it helps reducing the pressure in your blood vessels.
If you don’t really like Yoga, simply try this simple exercise in between your activities:
Take a deep breath in the count of ten, flow the air to your abdomen, hold for a while, and exhale, also in the count of ten.

Have you ever taken a moment to look into your soul? Checking your own personality. Are you balanced? Or, are you simply introverted? Or outgoing?
Honestly, I can never tell. Sometimes I think I’m a shy person. But some other time, I think I’m a loud person.
The Sarcastic Journalist seems to be wondering about herself. She thinks she’s not a shy or a private person. But, according to her friend she is. Although, on the outside she seems very loud and outgoing.
So, what’s exactly going on?
I’ve discussed it with a friend. We came to a conclusion that those who seem to be different in the inside and outside are simply balanced persons.
We don’t think that it’s a kind of personality disorder. Not at all. What? Double personality? We don’t think so.
What about you? Are you a balanced person?

There is a large variety of people living in this crazy world. Whether you want it or not, you have to deal with them. They could be your roommates, schoolmates, colleagues, online buddies or anybody you have to face almost everyday.
Benjamin Franklin said, “Be slow in choosing your friends; slower in changing.“It means that, you need to choose a friend carefully so you won’t need to change them all the time.
When I was little, Mom told me that I could make friends with anyone. She told me not to be judgmental about others that had differences with me. And, I did. But as time went by, I became more ‘picky’ in choosing my friends. No, I didn’t try to be in a popular group or anything. I just avoided those who might have caused me problems. I was only close to those who could cheer up my day and bring the best in me as I also did the same to all of them.
However, there were also times when I misjudged someone. I had been so nice at her. And, I thought she was worth a friendship but then she jeopardized everything between the two of us.
But apparently that didn’t happen only to me. Y also had an ‘interesting’ experience with a friend. She’s been so nice to this lady but I don’t think she got the same in return.
So, based on my own experience and Y’s, I now believe that even if you totally master the art of being a good friend, it doesn’t always mean that you master the art of choosing a friend.

Life is most of the time unpredictable. You never ever wish to get a phone call telling you that you get some amount of money. But, you get it. Or, you’ve been hoping to get a raise of salary. But, it’s been years, you don’t get any single dollar raise.
That’s life. It’s so unpredictable.
Once, you see it as a burden, the next day it turns out to be a joy. Or, contrariwise.
That’s the unpredictable side of life.
Busy Mom has just heard a story about a lady who’s just gotten $ 10,000 just because she signed the book at a wealthy guy’s funeral. So, it’s unpredictable, isn’t it?
And, Busy Mom, she also has just got some new friends from the funeral home who took care of her mother–these new friends are those who told her the story. Maybe, at first, the friendship isn’t something that she might have thought she would have with them. But then, she’s got such a great company.
Because, life is unpredictable.
That’s why, you just need to live it. Free yourself from unnecessary thoughts about what might come ahead. Especially if you’re one of those who can get stressed easily.
Just let life flow. Just like the above waterfall. It doesn’t know what might be ahead. Is it a big stone or a small one? It just flows.
So does your unpredictable life.

Worry - Five Ways To Eliminate It
By Steven Gillman
We all worry at times, and there is probably no way to stop worrying forever. There are some specific ways to stop right now, however. The following tips on how to stop worrying come from experience, because I’ve always been a bit of a worrier, and I had to learn some good techniques for stopping this energy-sucking habit. Here are five of the best.
1. Take action now. Any action towards a goal tends to diminish worry. Thinking too much about your goals or plans, especially if you dwell on the hurdles, will cause you worry and stress. People say that to save your eyes and keep them healthy–if you happen to be in front of the computer screen every single time–, you need to look at something green and far.
Now, I think I kinda need one. I need as much green as possible.
Do you see the above picture?
Beautiful, isn’t it? Lots of green and blue. It looks calming. Not only for your eyes, but also for your heart.
Yeah, I need such calming view a lot.
Wondering if there is such a place I can jump to right now. No car-riding, no plane-taking. Just jump.
If I jump, would you jump?
Have a great weekend, hope you’re jumping to such a place!
