Aerobic Dancing is booming now. Not only it can get your shape back, it’s also healthy and fun to do!
You can move your body along with the music that you like. It can be pop, latin, reggae, hip hop, etc. Although it’s not designed for dancers, aerobic dancing is quite challenging. You might feel as though you’re performing while firming your body and strengthening your cardiovascular system.
It would be great. Especially for you who feel reluctant to exercise. It can be a wonderful option to try.
May be at first, you won’t feel like the dancing queen. Just like Y. But the point is that you should keep trying no matter what. Who knows, after a while, maybe you could beat Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing and be the Dancing Queen…
Come on, Y…you can do it!

This time, I have to congratulate Shauna, a girl managing to lose 175.5 lbs. That’s not the only thing that made us here chose her to be the HEALTHY BLOGGER THIS WEEK! It’s also because she has made the decision to conquer her biggest fear: SWIMMING.
“My heart would race every minute of the lessons, wondering what they’d make us do next. I didn’t want to jump into the pool because I thought I’d make a bigger splash than my friends.”
That was she felt years ago. And now…
“…it’s high time to kiss these old hangups goodbye. I’ll be thirty next year, so it’s sad to still be clinging to the fears of a nine-year-old. I’ve had a good start by conquering my fears of running and cycling, but I know the biggest challenge is the pool.”
That’s what she feels.
Not everybody would do it. Many just let the fear stay in their heart. And, they tend not to do anything about it. Well, living with fear is unhealthy.
You need to face the fear and try to beat it. Shauna did. When will your turn be?
If your turn finally comes, simply email me at nadine at healthifica. com and give me your link so that I can jump right away to your blog…

You are not alone so don’t be ashamed of it. Many adults are experiencing incontinence or disability to control the leakage or flow of bodily fluids.
Instead of wasting your time being ashamed, it would be better if you do something about it.
So, what can you do to stop the problem from humiliating you?
- Bladder Training - try to urinate at set times, for example once every two hours. If you stay dry, lengthen the time. Now, urinate once every three hours, then four hours.
- Cut back your drink before bedtime.
- Bladder Exercise - do it by tightening the muscles you use to stop yourself from urinating. First, do it in five seconds, than increase it to ten. Do it several times a day.
If those can’t help, doctor might prescribe drugs or perform a surgery to put a small device that acts on nerves to control bladder contractions.
Yet, make sure you try the above tips first.

The Running Rabit has just got her cortisone shot on her knee. And up ’til now, she still feel the pain and she is quite worried.
Cortisone shot is indeed painful. Yet, usually it lasts only a day or two. And, it is best to treat the injected area with ice.
What is cortisone?
It’s a hormone produced by a small gland called the adrenal gland. It is released from the gland into the blood stream when your body is particularly under stress.
Cortisone shot is synthetically produced and injected into a particular area of inflammation.
Cortisone is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication. Cortisone does not act as pain reliever. It simply treats the inflammation. If you feel like the pain is decreased it is simply because the inflammation is diminished.
So, hope you get well soon, RR…

Knowing the symptom of food allergy is quite necessary since 8% of children and 2% of adults in the United States are estimated to be affected by some form of allergy to food.
Six Steps To Recognizing A Food Allergy Symptom
By Allen Matthews
Before we take the six steps in recognizing a food allergy symptom, I should first point out that what you may believe to be a food allergy, may in fact simply be an intolerance to a food item.
It is often easy to confuse an intolerance to food with an allergy, so many people wrongly diagnose themselves with a food allergy, when their reaction is quite mild to a particular food stuff. (more…)

I’ve been following Anne’s progress on losing weight and her other nice stories in life.
Last weekend she kind of took a break on her WW (Weight Watchers) program. She had cookies, pizza, and pancakes. Yet, she didn’t forget to control herself.
However, she felt guilty. But, I believe, once in a while, one should take a break. Especially on diet.
Many don’t take a break and keep on dieting. And then what? They end up giving up and start gaining weight. That comes out of stress. Most people fail on their diet program simply because they get stressed during the process.
As long as you know that you will be back on track, just like Anne did, a little break will do you good.
And, BTW, Anne, you look wonderful with the new haircut.
