Every time I heard about this water-soluble vitamin in the B-complex group, my mind pictures a pregnant woman. As if the ones needing it are only those who are pregnant.
Such a wrong idea. It’s true that if you’re pregnant, you have to consume at least 600mcg of folic acid every day.
But, actually, whether you’re pregnant or not, you need to consume folic acid. How can you not? It helps your body make healthy new cells.
You know what? Folic acid deficiency may cause poor growth, graying hair, inflammation of the tongue, mouth ulcer, peptic ulcer, diarrhea and anemia.
So, get your folic acid right now. There are supplements containing folic acid. Yet you’d better be careful with the supplements. It would be a lot better if you get it from natural food such as:
- Peas and beans
- Broccoli and other dark green leafy vegetables
- Asparagus
- Citrus fruits and juices
- Wheat bran and other whole grains
- Poultry, pork, shellfish
- Liver
Also, check out food labels to find if they contain folic acid or not. If you find folate instead of folic acid in the food label, don’t worry, it’s the same thing.

Do you look like your Mom? Or more like your Dad?
For me, I can’t tell. People say that I look more like my Grandmother. My nose, my lips, even my dimples are exactly the same with hers.
And now, this little Suri Cruise. Whom do you think she resembles? Katie or Tom? Or none of them?
Well, maybe she resembles her Grandma, just like me. Let’s just be positive about it.
BTW, whom do you resemble?

When I first started the newsletter, it was simply because I cared about people and was terribly willing to help. Especially when it came to health.
I had to experience sad moments to wake my self up to find the patch to fitness and health.
But I didn’t want that to happen to you. I wanted you to love yourself even more so that you led a healthy life.
Then a few friends and I gathered to make it come true. We started with the newsletter that seems to have helped so many people. Among those people are Lola, Aubri, Ogoo Azubuike, and Alexandra. They sent their testimonials telling us here what they have achieved by subscribing to our newsletter.
To thank them, we decided to post their lovely words on the sidebar of this blog. Because, that’s all we can do here, besides sharing more tips and articles on health for you, dear blog readers and newsletter subscribers.
All this time, your support and attention mean a lot. It’s your support that makes us grow and exist. And, we deeply thank you for that.
We’re simply reminders. We’re here for you.
Love,
Riana D. Lance

Not only can it help you flatten your belly, but also get them muscled:
- Lay yourself down on the mattress with both your hands under the head
- Lift both your legs vertically until you get your hip also elevated
- At the same time, lift both your shoulders, yet keep your back on the mattress
- Make sure you don’t bow your head and both your hands don’t cover the ears.
Have a great exercise!

I don’t think I’m afraid of spider. Or, not, if it’s not here alive in front of me. I’ve been seeing big spiders only on screen, not to mention the famous Spiderman.
Well, unluckily, Nikki had many spiders showing off their many legs in her house. Mountain Mama got one in her bathroom. Linda did, too, but she seems happy seeing the momma spider with her babies. She even took pictures of the lovely female spider.
Yet, thank God, none of them got bitten.
But, in case any of you have spiders running around at your home, make sure you completely understand the first aid for spider bites.
It’s important not to provoke them. Even if they’re non-aggressive ones, they can be harmful if they feel threatened.

At the age of five, Christi Thomas was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, the most common solid tumor outside the brain in infants and children. It is often present at birth but usually is not detected until later in infancy or childhood. [medterms.com]
Also the lovely Alexandra Scott. Two days before her first birthday she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
Kylie had it, too. And, now, she’s in God’s hands.
Show your care to the kids who suffer from the aggressive childhood cancer by visiting the supporting blog for Christi, Nikki’s blogging for Christi, Alex’s lemonade stand and Kylie’s caring bridge.
My love and pray for all the kids.
