Other than soybeans, lentils are legumes with the highest level of protein, 25%. Those who are vegetarians consume lots of lentils to help get the protein.
What are the other things lentils can do to keep you healthy?
- A cup of cooked lentils (100 g) is high in molybdenum that aids in metabolism of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA).
- Also, a cup of cooked lentils is high in folate, 358 mcg. Besides, it is also rich in magnesium. Both help you reduce risk factors for heart disease.
- Lentils are rich in dietary fiber. They can help support bowel regularity, help maintain normal cholesterol and blood sugar levels and help keep unwanted pounds off.
- The rich fiber content in lentils helps lower levels of both plasma glucose (blood sugar) and insulin (the hormone that helps blood sugar get into cells).
- Lentils are high in iron, plus, unlike red meat (another good source of iron), they are low in fat and calories. Iron is needed by your body to transports oxygen from the lungs to all body cells. Besides, it is also part of key enzyme systems for energy production and metabolism.
So, why don’t you get some lentils and prepare them for dinner?
Moose made them into a soup and the soup looks yummy (at least for me, it does, Moose!).

Yeah…fitness party.
Yesterday I was invited to a party held by a friend.
“The dress code is Gym Session,” she said while calling me the previous day.
She mentioned nothing but that dress code. So, I went there with my running shoes and outfit. I thought it was simply a code related to any sports available on earth.
But, when I got there, I was totally surprised! She turned her living room into a gym! She got no couch there. The things my eyes could spot on were a treadmill, an exercise bike, a rowing machine, and a stepper. And, there were other 5 girls in their gym outfit.
“Hi, Nadine! Glad that you come. Surprise…surprise…I’m having a fitness party! Serve yourself on the bar, I have prepared healthful smoothies for you…”
And, she meant what she said about Fitness Party. Not only the gym equipments, she also prepared a workout DVD and invited a personal trainer.
Well, it was a great idea. But…I was expecting something more relaxing.
Anyway, it was really a great idea. I wouldn’t mind being invited again.

A friend tells the publication, “(Victoria and David) are devastated - worried sick about Romeo. He is on medication to control the seizures but obviously things like flashing lights can trigger one at any time.

…you might scream out loud for you feel so much pain on your breast, and you might scare the baby. That’s what could happen if you get your breast bitten while breastfeeding.
The first time my son bit me–when he was 9 months old–, I tried not to scream although I really wanted to. I just held my breath and hoped it ended soon. It did, thank God!
The next time he was about to bite me, I put my little finger into the corner of his mouth and between his gums. That way, he bit my finger instead of my breast.
But, there were times, he was faster than me and managed to bite my breast, and what I did to ease the pain are:
- Letting my nipples open for sometime after feeding so that they can dry in air.
- People said that breast milk had wonderful natural healing properties of breast milk, so I massaged a few drops onto my nipples several times a day, or…
- Applying a pure lanolin–an emollient with moisturizing properties and an emulsifier with high water absorbing capabilities–ointment on my nipples frequently.
Or, you can try what SJ did when her baby was biting her during breastfeeding.

Are you thinking to get hair transplant? This article might help you…
Hair Transplant - Is A Hair Transplant Right For You
By Vienna Miller
What Is A Hair Transplant?
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure where hair on one part of your head that is not prone to balding (like the sides and back) is taken and transplanted into a balding area.
Generally, most of this transplanted hair will continue to grow for the lifetime of the patient. Hair transplants are thus a popular way to address the problem of premature balding and hair loss.
Patients like the fact that they don’t have to mess with questionable hair loss treatments or products for the rest of their lives.
Hair Transplants are becoming much more popular in the image-obsessed culture we live in today. People are realizing that image makes a difference in everything from personal confidence and happiness to the type of salary you earn and even to what kind of mate you can attract.
What Does A Hair Transplant Look Like?
New advances in hair transplants are made every year. Hair transplants today don’t need to have the ‘pluggy’ look they did 10 or 20 years ago. Today they can look so completely natural, no one will be able to tell you had one.
Depending on which doctor you choose you can address the thinning areas on your crown or front hairline. You doctor may also be able to steer you towards proven hair loss products that can cut down on hair loss after your surgery. This will help you so you stave off the natural progression of age-related hair loss.
Is A Hair Transplant Right For You?
Everyone is unique and a hair transplant may not be for everyone as each person’s situation is unique. If you’re considering a hair transplant, you must choose your surgeon or clinic carefully as there are a wide variety of options for those wanting a hair transplant.
If you are considering a hair transplant, talk to your doctor. You’ll also want to educate yourself on hair transplants, methods, costs and options before making a final decision.

- Do you feel numbness or tingling in hands?
- Do you feel weak most of the time?
- Do you feel better when you rest?
- Do you also feel pain in your arms?
- Do you feel such a burning pain?
- Are these symptoms persistent?
- Did you have any injury before you feel any of the symptoms above?
If your answer “Yes” to the questions above, be careful, you might be having a pinched nerve.
A pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues. If the pressure isn’t relieved, it can cause permanent damage to the nerve. So, it’s better to go check to the doctor.

Many people are trying to avoid depression by telling themselves that they’re just fine. In a way, it’s a good thing to think positively about yourself.
Yet, it might lead to denial. Especially if you don’t know the symptoms of depression.
The article below can help you get to know the symptoms, finding out the causes and observing the treatments to depression.
Depression: Symptoms, Causes & Treatments
By Gabriel J. Adams
Depression is an illness of the mind. It is where neurotransmitters in the brain are not balanced out. There is no way to overcome this illness without treatment and it can be serious and in some cases harmful.
Some of the symptoms of depression include:
- Feeling sad and upset a lot of the time.
- Thinking about the bad things in life and what has went wrong with your life.
- You feel like you’re always weighing other people down and holding them back from having a good time.
- You have physical pain over different parts of your body that has no medical cause.
Depression affects many people of this world and probably affects you or someone close to you. The good thing about it being so common is how easy it is to find a cure. Some of the cures for depression include:
- Medication. Medication includes different types of medicines which help to fight the symptoms of depression. They fall under three main categories.
1.tricyclics (example: Norpramin)
2.SSRI (example: Prozac)
3.MAOI (example: Nardil)
4.St. Johns’ Wort has also been proven effective in curing depression. This is an all natural herbal cure which some people prefer to medication.
Acupuncture has also been tried to help treat depression patients.
Changing the way you feel about yourself. While this seems like it wouldn’t work one of the best ways to fight this disease is to look at life with a positive attitude. What this means is to mentally tell yourself to stop sulking around and to think of all the good things that life has brought you.
Depression can be caused by abuse, bad feelings, and mental expectations that you can’t meet. Verbal and mental abuse seems to be some of the leading causes of depression. Some scientists believe that depression is a way of the patient asking to be treated better by the people around them. Studies suggest that depression works, in a way to achieve that goal.
If you have depression it’s best you seek immediate advice about how to treat your disease. Remember, if not taken seriously it can cause harmful long term effects.
