Ginseng Promotes Your Health

Ginseng has been valued in Chinese medicine for more than two thousand years. It is known for its ability to:

  • improve thinking or learning
  • lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes
  • remove fatigue
  • stimulate activity of immune cells in the body
  • enhance libido and copulatory performance

Yet, there are contradictions on its medical benefit.

Although it is considered to be relatively safe even in large amounts, certain types of Ginseng are extremely dangerous in large amounts, for example notoginseng. It is known to be deadly in doses over 10 grams.

It is suggested to consult doctors and pharmacists before consuming this herbal medicine.

Do’s & Don’ts in Rope Skipping

Jumping rope is a great cardiovascular exercise. It’s easy and fun. But here are some tips you need to understand very well before you start doing it…

Do’s:

Make sure you put on supportive shoes.

Jump on springy wooden or carpeted floor, or a thin exercise mat on whatever surface you do have.

Always keep the rope handles close to your hip.

Keep your abs contracted slightly to keep your torso vertical.

Move your wrists to bring the rope around.

Always keep your legs straight.

Don’ts:

Don’t wear running shoes because they won’t give you enough forefoot support.

Never jump on concrete, floors laid over concrete, and other hard surfaces like tile.

Don’t hold the rope handles too far apart, your rope might be too long.

Don’t move your shoulders for they will be exhausted.

Don’t bend your legs in the air.

I’ve known the proverb in the above picture since years ago.

I put some thought about it. And, can’t deny that it’s truly correct.

There are two points, actually. Either you know the disease by having it or by learning about it.

For me, I’d rather learn about it than having to experience myself.

Ladies, Change Your Mood with His Sweat…

According a new study by Claire Wyart from the University of California, Berkeley, it is stated that androstadienone, a derivative of testosterone that is found in high concentration in male sweat, is able to raise levels of cortisol, a hormone commonly associated with alertness or stress. The study was reported in The Journal of Neuroscience.
Wyart asked a total of 48 undergraduate women at UC Berkeley to take 20 sniffs from a bottle containing androstadienone, which smells vaguely musky. Over a period of two hours, the volunteers provided five saliva samples from which cortisol levels were determined.
These women reported an improved mood and significantly higher sexual arousal, while their physiological response, including blood pressure, heart rate and breathing, also increased.
