Hope and Expectations

When one hopes, he is ready that there are two possibilities of results: success and failure.

But when one expects, he is only ready for one condition: a full success.

And if things turn out to be different from what he expects, how is it?

He will be disappointed, then he might get stressed out.

That’s why, I’ve been trying all my best to stop expecting. I’d rather hope and prepare myself for the worst. It’s not that I suggest you not to picture a success. It’s just you need to balance both possibilities that might result from your attempts.

As mentioned at mashable.com, Taumed is launching its “My Health Space” network. It’s a health community where you can subscribe to various health channels. You can also save the community questions as well as build and share your personal library of health information, and view others’ libraries to find additionally relevant resources.

Nowadays, health is considered very important for everyone. That’s why you get to Healthifica.com, to get answers to your questions regarding your health problem.

By getting as much information you need, you’ll cooperate with your doctor in finding out the best solution to the problem. It is important to sit together with the doctor and discuss your affliction. It’s best to at least understand it so that the dicussion wouldn’t be a one way conversation.

Don’t say that you cannot because as you can see, there are plenty of sites you can visit to get as much information.

So, don’t just sit and wait for your doctor’s decision. It’s your life. You have to be active.

Let it out!

It’s not healthy to keep your emotion to yourself. You need to let it go. Let others know when something is bothering you.

It’s necessary because your mind and body have a certain connection. When you are stressed out, anxious or upset, your body will tell you that something is wrong. High blood pressure, stomach ulcer or shingles might be developed after you feel stressed out.

Poor emotional health can also weaken your body’s immune system. Anger or sadness might make you more likely to get colds and other infections.

So, it’s better if you just let it go. Then, you feel better. And, you don’t have to experience any illness.

  • An American study by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) found that between 8.7% and 18.1% of Americans suffer from phobias.
  • There are three types of phobias, specific phobias, social phobia, and agoraphobia
  • Children may develop symptoms of specific phobia as young as age 5.
  • People with phobias try to avoid what they are afraid of. If they cannot, they may experience panic, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, trembling, or a strong desire to get away.
  • Children may learn phobias from parents or family by observing their phobic reaction to an object or a situation.
  • Brain chemicals, genetics and traumatic experiences also appear to influence the development of phobias.
  • Phobias might also arise from a combination of external events and internal predispositions.
  • Phobias sometimes occur along with other anxiety disorders and may be accompanied by depression, abuse of alcohol or other substances, or eating disorders.
  • Phobia can cause you other problems, including: social isolation, depression, and substance abuse.
  • The word “phobia” may also signify conditions other than fear. For example, the term hydrophobia, not only does it mean a fear of water, it may also mean inability to drink water due to an illness.
  • If your kids have a certain phobia, you can start helping by talking about fears and how to overcome by coping with those fears.

How to Avoid Female Athlete Triad

Exercising is good, having a good shape is great but just don’t overdo it.

If you do, you might be at risk for a problem called female athlete triad, a combination of three conditions: disordered eating, amenorrhea, and osteoporosis.

Disordered eating means that your body is not getting healthy nutrition. Amenorrhea is the absence of menstrual periods for longer than 6 months. And, osteoporosis is a weakening of the bones due to the loss of bone density and improper bone formation.

So, how to avoid having it?

Check out these tips below:

  • Keep track of your periods by having a calendar to check out if you miss any menstrual periods or not.
  • Don’t ignore injuries. If you have one, make sure to check it out with your doctor.
  • Don’t skip meals or snacks
  • Eat healthily
