This week, the award goes to another healthy pregnant mother, Heather Edwards.
Previously she was concerned with preeclampsia and she had to get stuck on bed rest.
But now, thank God, she is a lot better.
She wrote:
my blood pressure is back to a healthy level, the cranberry pee is a thing of the past, preeclampsia is no longer any of a concern, and baby Gabe is in perfect position, head down and everything.
Well, Heather, we all here wish you and the baby health and strength before, during and after the laboring process. Hope you can update us with the good news soon.
And, congratulations, you are our HEALTHY BLOGGER THIS WEEK!
This award is given to those who are healthy, willing to get healthy, in the process of getting healthy…
If you think you deserve the award, simply email me at nadine at healthifica dot com and give me your link so that I can jump right away to your blog…

At first, I didn’t know why I had such an inexplicable urge to visit Nikki’s blog just now.
But then, the reason was clear.
God wanted me to find out that the beloved Christi Thomas passed away. I jumped right away to the supporting blog for Christi. And, I couldn’t help my tears from falling while reading the first sentence of the latest post:
At 9:00 am, with Shayne and I at her side, Christi took her final breath and gently floated away forever leaving a hole in our hearts.
Christi, I’ve just known you for several days since my post about childhood cancer. But, I’ve learned a lot from you, how you went through everything with courage.
Good bye, Christi. You’re always in my heart.

The Running Rabit has just got her cortisone shot on her knee. And up ’til now, she still feel the pain and she is quite worried.
Cortisone shot is indeed painful. Yet, usually it lasts only a day or two. And, it is best to treat the injected area with ice.
What is cortisone?
It’s a hormone produced by a small gland called the adrenal gland. It is released from the gland into the blood stream when your body is particularly under stress.
Cortisone shot is synthetically produced and injected into a particular area of inflammation.
Cortisone is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication. Cortisone does not act as pain reliever. It simply treats the inflammation. If you feel like the pain is decreased it is simply because the inflammation is diminished.
So, hope you get well soon, RR…

Reading the details of Bill Hunt’s life and looking at his pictures with his lovely family, my heart ached.
Nice tribute, it is.

When I first started the newsletter, it was simply because I cared about people and was terribly willing to help. Especially when it came to health.
I had to experience sad moments to wake my self up to find the patch to fitness and health.
But I didn’t want that to happen to you. I wanted you to love yourself even more so that you led a healthy life.
Then a few friends and I gathered to make it come true. We started with the newsletter that seems to have helped so many people. Among those people are Lola, Aubri, Ogoo Azubuike, and Alexandra. They sent their testimonials telling us here what they have achieved by subscribing to our newsletter.
To thank them, we decided to post their lovely words on the sidebar of this blog. Because, that’s all we can do here, besides sharing more tips and articles on health for you, dear blog readers and newsletter subscribers.
All this time, your support and attention mean a lot. It’s your support that makes us grow and exist. And, we deeply thank you for that.
We’re simply reminders. We’re here for you.
Love,
Riana D. Lance

At the age of five, Christi Thomas was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, the most common solid tumor outside the brain in infants and children. It is often present at birth but usually is not detected until later in infancy or childhood. [medterms.com]
Also the lovely Alexandra Scott. Two days before her first birthday she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
Kylie had it, too. And, now, she’s in God’s hands.
Show your care to the kids who suffer from the aggressive childhood cancer by visiting the supporting blog for Christi, Nikki’s blogging for Christi, Alex’s lemonade stand and Kylie’s caring bridge.
My love and pray for all the kids.
