The sperm quality, as men age, drops. It is influenced by the slowing down of testosterone production. One of the signs of the drop of production can be seen in the lessening of semen.
Every year the sperm movement drops to 0.7%, based on a study conducted by the researchers at the University of California Berkeley. They found that men’s sperm begins to deteriorate when they are in their 20s. And at the age of 60, men’s abnormality of sperm motility is up to 80%.
The best time for men to conceive a child is between 20-45 years old. However, there is still a possibility for men above 60 or even 70 to father a child. That’s rare, but possible.
